ok. since i switched my spack plugs, the wires, cap, fuel filter, transition to full sysnthetic, and oil treatment, i have hit the amazing 200 miles on a 1/2 tank of gas. i am too not sure how this is possible. the car holds a 13.75 gallons about. i guess thats pretty damn good.

the reason i feel like a king is that gas is now down to 2.35 here in MKE. what is the price of gas by you and miles per tank do you get? im just wondering.

$2.85 for 87, I can get 350-400 miles on a tank. 26 gallon tank in truck, I average in the city 16-17mpg, mostly cause I've been carrying 200-300lbs of load in the bed, at the beginning of the month I usually have about 2400lbs worth of payload, so my mileage suffers. I get 19-21mpg highway though.

$2.13 here in SC... I used to get all happy when I'd go over 200 miles in my CRX to the 1/2 way point and then my smile would turn to a frown as the needle went toward the E like gravity had a hold of it... haha... still gets 36mpg though, but is too ugly and slow to drive. The Mrs. VW has a 14 gallon tank and gets about 30mpg. I've heard stories about full synthetic getting better gas mileage and that's what we use but I'm not completely sure if it's true or not.

In the jetta I get 300-350 to the tank and it is a 14.5 tank. The Rx-8 im not sure yet cause I was still breaking it in and so I was getting horrible gas milage (could be due to me flooring it aswell...hehe part of the break in) Gas around me for premium 93 is at 2.71

gas around here, atleast last time i filled up (been almost a week) was 2.15. i usually average almost 25mpg with a 15.7 gallon tank. so i get well over 300 miles on it. last time i was a little more free with the throttle and got 24.2 mpg. but thats combined city and highway so im happy with it.

325-350 for a good tank, made the round trip from here to IL and back (bout 425miles) on a single tank three weeks back. 15 gallon tank.

Well, since your car is now burning the entire fuel mixture and there is less resistance you will see an increase in fuel mileage. When I switched the GTC and the Sebring to full synthetic my gas mileage went up by about 2mpg.

Anyhow, the gas around here is about $3.00 per gallon for 91 octane which is what I have to put in both my cars. The GTC gets about 345 miles from a 12 gallon tank and the Stealth gets about 400 miles from a 16 gallon tank.

Of course I could get better mileage from both cars, but I just have to have some spirited driving every now and then dont I? :)

It's about $2.60 here, $2.20ish on the Indian reservation. I can get 400 miles if it's all freeway driving, city driving I'm usually right around 300-350.

Polygon, does your stealth have an aftermarket tank on it cause you said 16 gallons but the stock one is 19.8 gallons i think.

200 miles to the 1/2-tank mark...pfffttt :screwy:.

I always get atleast 230 miles to the 1/2-tank mark, lol. But uhhh..both of my trucks have 26 gallon tanks :banghead: .

We want even talk about the race car though.

As for prices. I buy 89 octane for the new truck, and 93 for the old one. I paid $2.52 a gallon today for 93. I haven't bought any for the new truck this week yet, so I'm not a 100% sure what 89 is here. Regular I think is $2.31 or $2.37.

And Sunoco 112 octane leaded race fuel is $8.00 per gallon at the race track .

we just(tonight) raised our gas prices here in minneapolis/st paul from 2.19 to 2.35

my shadow gets 22-26mpg usually.

my old b14 SE-R automatic + about the same mods as you got around 29 mpg city+hwy mix.

my old 240sx got *shudders* around 16 mpg in the winter, im not sure to this day why. when i got it, before its death and rebirth, it got mid 20s.

Nope, it's stock. I managed to get 17.001 gallons in on my last fillup. That was with the light on and the needle to the bottom. That is a pretty big reserve. Right now I'm only getting about 23.2 MPG according to that. :shakehead

Time for a tune up!

we have a few BP stations here that sell unleaded 102Ron road fuel, at roughly $14.50 per gallon.

Yeah you can go for a long time after the light starts coming on, but once is stays on then you might want to get to a gas station. I have had times where i thoughs i was running on fumes and went to the gas station to fill and only be able to put in 16.5 (or so) gallons. But i guess its better to have too much warning thatn not enough.

yeah it is better to have more. my dads malibu runs out about 5 seconds after the light comes on, its very annoying.

Dag gone. You guys like to cut it close with gas don't ya? Shoot, I hate to let my trucks get below a 1/4 of a tank, and with them, I've still got about 6 gallons or so at that point, lol.

Mr. Luos

I do my best to never get below 1/4 tank.

Best I have seen is $2.55 for lowest grade gas.
Trans Am can get 17 MPG if I baby it.
Grand Am gets around 28 MPG mixed.
