1991 Lumina 3.1 = No Blower Fanbishop336 09-18-2006, 11:26 PM Hi, I have a 1991 3.1 euro lumina sedan. Cars been pretty good, 288,000 km's on it. I just got the car back from the mechanic for a new power steering pump and the blower fan won't blow at all though you can feel the heat over-time come out. The panel lights up with no issues, there is no fan on any speeds for either cold or hot. I suspected the fuse being a novice and looked in my owners manual but it has a 25 volt fuse for low/med blower but its not in my fuse box (half are just as they are in the book and the others aren't) Do you have an suggestions or tips that I can look to see if the fan is destroyed, where it is, or possible solutions. Thanks  ChiefGoFor 09-19-2006, 11:02 AM When you say "blower fan", do you mean the air conditioner? If not, ignore the rest of this If so, then when you push the "AC" button, does air blow our by the window and in the floor? bishop336 09-19-2006, 06:29 PM By Blower Fan I meant whatever fan pushes air, either hot or cold. The lights on the panel light up and change but you near hear the fan spin. The odd thing was this morning it was alittle wet and cold so I pushed the back defrost and you hear a click coming from the fuse box area but I've checked the fuses and they appear good. I also don't suspect fuses cause my manual says there are 2, one for low/med and one for high and the fan never blows. Perhaps its called the blower motor as opposed to a fan There is no noise or air flow when I press any of the choices, though with high heat over acouple minutes I can feel heat seeping through the vents, its just like there is nothing pushing it, or perhaps the panel isn't telling it to go. NocturnalCreations 09-24-2006, 01:30 AM Check for voltage at the blower while its switched on. If there is voltage present, change the blower. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
