what parts can i use for turboing a 5sfe, PLEASE HELP ME OUT HERE!!!nightstalker13 09-15-2006, 03:29 PM ok i am lookin on ebay and i see turbo kits and stuff like that for a toyota mr2 celica, with a 3sgte motor. can i use those parts as well as the celica 3sgte parts for my 95 2.2 gt? and once i get the turbo manifold and turbo and all the parts to have an entire kit, is there anything else i should do to the motor as far as building it up to hold the added performance or would i be able to run it how it is for a while till i can add more parts? PLEASE HELP ME OUT WITH THIS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!!! SigmaProjects 09-15-2006, 11:47 PM lol, lower comp pistons, forged internals, metal head gasket. intercooler, maybe even bigger radiator and making sure your water pump is in great condition. I hear the 3SGTE manifold will work on the 5SFE. You'll probably need bigger fuel injectors, don't want to lean out and f up something. uibalnme 09-16-2006, 02:53 AM 3SGTE exhaust manifold, CT20, or CT26 turbo, Supra 7MGE(non-turbo) injectors, small front mount intercooler, and the hardest part to find, a MAP sensor for a 3SGTE. The MAP sensor will be a pain in the ass to find used. It will cost bit of money to buy a new one. That is just for the basic low boost setup. If you want to go big, check out this site. http://warp.scl.utah.edu/mr2/turbo5sfe.html nightstalker13 09-16-2006, 09:50 AM thanks for your input everyone, but noone told me yet, if i can use the MR2 parts? all the things u told me was very helpful, i was goin to do most of that but some i didnt really know i had to do, but wouldve done it later down the road. thanks 91 Celica St 09-30-2006, 02:50 PM yes you can use the stuff from the 3sgte (exhuast manifold and turbo, as well as oil pan and basically the oil lines but ul still need to make your own kit) should have red teh sticky at the top of the page and it would have told u more yea i would go for some DSM or 3sgte injectors the stock 5sfe injectors are 220cc's and if you use a 2 bar map youll need around 440cc injectors to run just like stock, but sicne ull have a turbo your going to need a way to add fuel like a smt-6 or greddy emanage (using a 2 bar map cuz injector load voltage in half therefore you would need close to double the size injectors to run right) uif your not going to run an engine managment system get at LEAST 450cc injecotrs (id goaround 500 or 550's from a supra) and pull your duizzy back to 8degrees, you should be relativly safe, if you ran 550's youd be around 15%richer with no tune DO NOT USE 7MGE INJECTORS like uibalnme said, they have been proven to be way too small to use on a 5sfe even with a small turbo like the ct-26. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
