Wangan Midnight is based on a manga, not an anime. It's awesome isn't it?

I know it is based on a manga. But, there were movies made, those are what I am asking about. And, yes they are kick ass.

LOL, I watched Hunter X Hunter like 3 times, and a lot of one Piece twice, so I know what you mean. I wonder what the movies are like. Maybe L's Keeper knows. *knocks on door* Yo!! Mod!!

I've never been able to find Wangan Midnight scanslations or fansubs, in all the time I've looked. Honestly, this is the first I've heard of there being movies in existence (Anime News Network's encyclopedia makes no mention of movies, either).

One would think with all of the positive buzz around the series and its successful arcade game that one of the bigger distributors like ADV, Viz, or Bandai would pick-up the title, but ultimately it's an expensive license between the cars, parts, and the success of Wangan Midnight as a merchandising force.

Well for one, it has porsche, that's damn expensive to get the license to.

Hey wasn't the Tokyo Xtreme Racer videogames based off Wangan Midnight? I'd be interested see another car related anime/manga besides Initial D.

My mall has 2 maximum tune arcades right next to eachother, I'm going to race my friends when I get a chance, but they also have 2 Initial D arcades, a nascar one and a ferrari 355 one (both of those are for one person and huge). I wonder if maximum tune has that card thing people are talking about. I played Initial D (fun game indeed!!!) and it had a card slot also.
