i installed new rotors and brakes on my 93, and everytime i brake, the front drivers side wheel goes makes a sound. 'clunk clunk clunk clunk" and gets slower as i come to a stop. If i stop fast, its a loud sound. its very noticible. What could be causing this? I'm going to go and take the wheel off right now and see if i can find the problem. I will come back and see what you people say lol.

okay i took the wheel off, took the caliper off, and i took out the pads and put them back in. then i put everything back. it seems when i drive, the first few slow stops are fine, then it starts clunking. anyone know what the problem is?

any suggestions? i really need to get this fixed as its my only mode of transportation.
i took off the caliper for a 3rd time. re-greased everything... still clunking.

try takeing it apart again and take everything from teh passangers side and put it in the drivers and vise versa. that will rule out a bad pad or bad rotor, my first bit of advice

thanks for the reply. i just had my dad look at it. he's a good mechanic. he said the caliper spacer (where the pin goes into) is worn. which could explain the clunking... So this weekend i'll head out to the scrap yard and pick up one
