View Full Version : Potential HUGE HP gains... Potential HUGE HP gains... karchboarder 09-13-2006, 05:28 PM Oh P.S. ... DYNO places here on Long Island cost about 500 per session, so thats outta the question. Broke_as_**** 09-17-2006, 01:41 AM How did you think you were going to tune it without using a dyno? Thats just about the only way to get record data that you can adjust the AFC with. Without it the AFC is useless. There is no general setting that will increase your performance. The whole idea behind a stand alone AFC is that you can adjust it to meet your individual vehicle's needs. Honestly with your extremely mild upgrading thus far, I don't really see you getting much more than 10-20 hp from the AFC even with a dyno tuning. You'd probably be better off doing mid-pipes or headers or whatever it is that the 350Z guys do to their VQ motors after an intake and cat-back exhaust. As for now, I'd just suggest finding someplace outside of Long Island that doesn't charge as much. mmcleo11 09-17-2006, 02:00 AM ^^ Agreed. Playing with settings without a Dyno will often result in a blown motor unless you have a wide band AFR meter in your car(which I doubt, cause they are expensive) $500 an hour is a rip off, find someone who won't make you pay through the nose... Get some more mods done before you get it tuned or you will need to get it tuned again once they are done. Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com!
