You can get new ground and power wires for your battery. It would be under $20 Wollf 09-12-2006, 07:42 AM Check into your alt as well , your car should run just fine without a battery once it has been started , so your Alt might be failing / shot as well. das2123 09-12-2006, 01:05 PM tighten your cables? Make sure the terminals and cables are free of corrosion. marky420 09-12-2006, 05:48 PM well i replace the terminals and spark plugs it still doesn't even start. if we leave it for few hours, then start it it works for a little while. a few people said something about a fuel pump???? marky420 09-12-2006, 05:52 PM well i replaced the terminals and the spark plugs and it still didn't work. if we leave it alone for a few hours and then start it it starts and will run for a short while. but if we try later, it won't start. somebody said something about a fuel pump???? i know that will be expensive..... bhshoot 12-07-2006, 09:49 AM why does everyone have a solution and no answers? Maybe if you people would stop putting in useless answers someone might get the help they need. Not all this nonsense it could be it might be i had this and on and on. das2123 12-07-2006, 10:00 AM why does everyone have a solution and no answers? Maybe if you people would stop putting in useless answers someone might get the help they need. Not all this nonsense it could be it might be i had this and on and on. Because it's almost impossible to answer a starting question without actually looking at the car. People post their experiences so that it may or may not help. You need 2 things for the car to start....fuel and spark. So what would you have us say, check for those? skatendestroy 12-07-2006, 12:49 PM look into the crank position sensor.... 95 have problems with these as they are the old style sensors they tend to break into two and will cause the motor to shut off and not immediatly start back up. just a thought its on the back side of the motor Bear 12-07-2006, 04:12 PM On my '98 it was the crankshaft position senor that was shorting out when engine warmed up. Car would run when cold but after she warmed up it would die and not restart until the engine cooled down. Difficult to diagnose as it would not code out until engine quit. Bottom line ,take it to Auto Zone for a FREE code scan. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
