would this work??72 rs 09-10-2006, 09:22 PM well guys im new to the neon world and need some help. I recently aquried a 96 2dr sohc mtx neon HIGHLINE i think) w/120,000 miles for FREE (needs head gasket and timing belt). While i was removing i noticed that the bushings for the shifter cabes were missing (every one yells BOOGERS...) ...... what about a solid bushing such as alum. or brass. I have 2 alum. bushings....from what i dont know.... that fit perfectly with no mods at all. Will these work or will they cause more harm tha good????? Will183 09-10-2006, 09:57 PM It would work, however, the bushings you are describing would need to be put in as straight as possible to avoid pre-mature wear on the cables. The neons mostly come with plastic bushings for this reason. the_game_rock 09-11-2006, 10:38 AM just get boogers they work good and are cheap. das2123 09-11-2006, 10:41 AM just get boogers they work good and are cheap. :iagree: Plus they firm up the shifting. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
