Its mine now! 1966 (disreguard those 1967 numbers on the windows, those are going to be changed to 1966) Chevrolet Nova II, better known as a Chevy II.

Here's the overview:
-2"x3" mild steel tube frame, IHRA certified
-ladder bars, coil over shocks
-A-arms
-rack and pinion steering
-4 wheel disc brakes
-Ford 9" rearend, narrowed, 5.13 gear we think
-32x14 slicks
-MSD 7A-L ignition
-MSD two-step rev limiter
-all electronics
-355 SBC (nice engine, broddix heads, victor jr. intake-good stuff on the inside)
-turbo 400 transmisison with reverse pattern
-C02 shifter
-all alluminum interior
-10 point roll cage
-alot of fiberglass

Raced it last night. We're still trying to learn the car and so I didnt do any good, had some trouble with the shifter, but anyways, I got a best time of 6.8400 @ 99.99 mph. And more importanlty, we got the shifting trouble lined out. So now all I need is practice practice practice! And that's coming this Friday night, weather and work permitting.

And some pictures. I love it. I think it looks great. Nothing at all is cobbed with this car.

Lol. Well that all depends, lol. Its a very stout running 355, that's for sure. 6.80s in an 1/8th mile is a pretty good ride. There's not many 355s that'll do that, atleast not in a door car.

Now I do have a tunnel ram and 2 660s for sale that came with the car, lol.

As for the Vega, I dont really know. I didn't think I'd ever not be racing it, but that is certainly what is happening. I guess I would sale it if anyone wanted to buy it. As it sets now, its not capable of racing, but it would be relatively easy to get back on the road. The rear end just needs to be welded up and it needs a driveshaft made.

If I did sale it, it would be sold rolling only, because I'm keeping my motor and transmission for the Nova.

Lol.

I dont have anyway of getting a video. But if I ever get the chance to get it recorded, then most definetely. It brings the wheels up, lol and its by far the best sounding small block I've ever heard.

I'll match CassiesMan's offer and toss in another 6 Yeunglings, a half pack of Malboros, a half broken blender, a VHS copy of Pauly Shore's 'In teh Army Now', and a few old Limp Bizkit cds. Oh and $2.47 in nickels and pennies. I also have a 21 year old brother I'm willing to part with

Seriously though, very nice pickup! Good luck with it.

So.... what made you pick this up? I thought you just went through with the bank signing over your first three children to get the loan for the Vega's new chassis work...?

Lol. Well what happened was the guy that had this car told me to race it about 3 weeks ago. He has another car and got it running like he wants and so this one was just setting. So I did. And I really liked it. It is already set up like I wanted my Vega to be and I got it for roughly the same amount of money that it was going to cost to fix the Vega. And if you consider that it has a motor and transmission (and it also came with a tunnel ram and 2 660 carbs), then I got it for less.

My Vega was going to be about $10,500 to just get the chassis, suspension, and rearend made. I would have then had to have bought new tires and wheels (another $1500) and then run all new wire, brake lines, and fuel lines. Now that's to get it set up like this Nova is.

I paid $10,000 for this Nova, and its a complete race car and its worth every penny of that and you can garuntee that it'll take a lot more then that to buy it now. Its worth $10,000 just rolling. And now I've got two good race engines, and one good transmission and one that is a short timer, (the Turbo 400 in the Nova). There's nothing wrong with it, I just really dislike 400 transmissions, particularly this one because it has the stupid reverse shift pattern (P-R-N-1-2-3). And it also came with that Holley Tunnel Ram and 2 660 cfm carbs.

So that was my reasoning, plus I really like those body styles.

Thanks. I will do that. I think my little cousin has a good digital camera that does a pretty good job at recording so I'll try and get him to go and film for me.

It's pretty going down the track, lol.
