How hard is it to install a proc?elementskater15 09-08-2006, 12:25 PM I've run across a sale on a celeron D proc. that fits my mobo.. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2253999&CatId=1975 ..its lightyears better than the old school celeron 1.7 i have in here now, i actually think it came out of a laptop. What is involved in replacing one other than pulling it out and poppin the new one in? I know I have to go into BIOS and put in the voltage and clock speed..but i can do that easily..thanks ericn1300 09-08-2006, 04:04 PM you might have to set the voltage using jumper pins on th MB. do you have the manual for your MB. It would also be a good idea to check for bios upgrades and do them first before pulling the old processor. bjboertje 09-08-2006, 04:38 PM not hard. :) elementskater15 09-08-2006, 05:16 PM nevermind on all this, I think I'll be making a down payment on a truck, thats more important...my computer is fast enough to run photoshop, that's all I need vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
