Door Problem

My passenger door opens from the outside only. I suspected my aftermarket door solenoid, but disconnected it and it still does not work.

Do these things just wear out?

Please Advise if you have any ideas.

There is a rod that runs from the inner door handle that has probably come unhooked. If you take the inner door panel off, it should be pretty obvious what is wrong.
