Need help on a buyst3ve123 09-06-2006, 07:01 PM My mom Is thinking about buying this car: Year/Make/Model: 2000 DODGE NEON/ES Body Style: SEDAN 4 DR Engine Type: 2.0L L4 SFI SOHC 16V for around 3,000 or so, we looked up the VIN on car fax and it found 6 reports but she don't have a credit card to purchase the report Me and my mom took a test drive in it today (i'm use to driving a big van) and of course it felt weird driving it. the pedals were very small and seemed like you had to stomp them in order to stop the thing. it also has a CD player in the trunk apparenly, but there is no place to put a CD (it's a sony) and a wire goes to a remote in the front. so were gonna get that looked at, it also is missing a hub cap but thats gonna be replaceed for free, I got the impression the first time I got in the car it was kinda..cheap fealing..dont know how to describe it. it also has a sunroof which doesn't open? heh i think there's like 110,000 miles on it but it's a good motor according to my mechanic uncle. if anyone has a unlimited car fax history member ship and can scan the VIN for me it would be great. because 3,000 is alot of money to us to spend on a useless car (if it was in a flood etc) SRT-Wannabe 09-06-2006, 07:35 PM I have an es. :) don't have a sunroof though :( skatendestroy 09-07-2006, 01:33 PM that would be the normal price of any neon pretty much lol theres so many of them that they are realativly cheap. yale329 09-11-2006, 03:08 PM If you can't buy or find the vin record, stay away. It sounds like you may be heading for more problems than the car is worth. Some one has done a back yard job on this car. Spend 20 0r 40 bucks and have it checked. Don't get ripped off, for from a father of thre, I have been tere. Good luck Dad 52 vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
