I need some expert help from anyone out there i have recently bought a k reg 318 and it has a weird knocking sound from the front end when going over bumps or hitting the brakes hard over uneven ground which makes it not very pleasant to drive:banghead: , i have checked wheel nuts sus mount bolts etc but wondered if there was a common fault or somewhere to look/investigate.

r u sure it is coming from the front because i had the same problem with my 91 318is i changed the rear shock mounts and it went away.

probably your wheel hubs...
