2000 Civic EX coupe, 5-speed, white, 101k on the ODO. One minor fendor bender with some touch up paint on the nose. A bad rear end accident with roughly 25% damage.

Is $5k a good price or would that be too low or high?

I wouldn't pay 5K for a busted civic w/ 101K miles! If it runs good you might ask 3K, but that might be pushing it. Maybe that's just me. Appraise it's value at edmunds.com or kbb.com to get a better idea.

It's my coworker's car. A dealer was giving her $5k on it for a trade in. It's paid for so I guess the trade was alright. She's getting an '07 tc when it gets shipped in.

Yeah, he probably gave her $5k on paper, but he jacked the price of the new car up $2 or $3k. But whatever. I assume you're talking about a Scion tc? Think I would rather have the busted Civic.
