I have a98 ford taurus and the #2 and #6 cylinder are missfiring. I took it to a shop and they told me it was the coil pack. I was wondering if anyone knew how to change or where I could find out how to change it.

Thanx,
Tony

Welcome to the forum. Which engine does your '98 Taurus have?

Yes! We need to know if it is a 24 valve 3.0L or the regular 3.0L engine.

The regular 3.0L has the coil pack right there on top and cannot be missed! All the spark plug wires attach to it.

Quarter inch drive ratchet wrench, socket set, and you may also need a combination wrench, remove the screws holding the coil pack down, and wrestle the assembly out to where you can work on it.
