I Need A New Engine For My 92 Grand Marquis..... But I Dont Want A Grand Marquis Engine. So My Question Is Can I Fit A Maurader Engine In It Or A Newer Year Engine.

an old friend of mine put a marauder engine in his 92 vic. it took a LOT of modding and fabrication. it took over a year to finish and it was worked on every day by his father(who was a mechanic). when done it ran like a raped ape!
then he started to have problems with it and i haven't heard from him since.
92's are a goofy year of panthers. they had 2 different trannies depending on when they were built. an aod or an aode. if you have an aod you can put a 5.0l in your car if you like.
no matter what you do it will only be cost efficient if you get a used engine for install. if you are not doing the work yourself, it will be cheaper to get another panther.
good luck.
what is the matter with the engine to make you think you need a new one?

do you have a leak or something in yours, i want a new engine for mines. a quart every 500 miles isnt bad but 500 miles go by quick for an average driver.

Using a quart of oil can just be valve stem seals. Have you done a compression test? A leak down test? Are you able to do repair work yourself? What motor does your car currently have?
