98 blazer 4x4..seen lots of mud and salt...98k. im replacing idler arm after installing new tires and before i get her aligned. i cant get the right side idler arm seperated. i tried a 2 arm puller and bent the hell out of it (it was decent..made in china but decent before i tried it) i tried a hammer and a small chisel, and i tried vibrating it all with my air chissel. no luck. would a ball joint fork seperater work? or does anyone have any suggestions. im pulling my hair out and my wife is driving to maine from connecticut in 2 days in this truck...help please!!!

Thats the right way - best is the fixed 2 arm puller that comes specifically for that in the loaner kit that most auto stores have. Usually need a 1/2" drive socket with breaker bar and it will pop as it releases so wear gloves and watch the hands. Done several and sounds like you need a better puller cause if it starts to bend it will slip off.
