The car sits lower though, as the pics right there were taken about 30 minutes after the rims were put on. So it looks alot better.

I like the wheels, if you dont mind me asking, what did you pay? Are those 16s?

They are 17s.. Kitanas. I was going to get 18s but where I went to buy them from they sold the 18s I originally saw about a week before and I needed new tires bad so I just got those. Im not disappointed and very happy with them too.

I got them for $850 because it was at this local rim store, if you look online they go for about $300-$500 more than that.

I love your car. I wish mine was black on black. But I am stuck with a white Grand Am and a Gold Camaro...

Well here is mine as promised. 2004 SS Intimidator. Everything is stock except for the stereo/speakers which I upgraded the day I got it 2 months ago. I do not plan to change anything on it because I like it the way it is. I might get a darker tint on the windows but that is just to keep the heat out. 90 degree weather plus black leather seats makes for a hot ass!! I wish the thing came with seat coolers instead of heaters!!

So what do you think?

Thats pretty sweet. Mine will look like that in the end, as I wanted an Intimidator SS but I had to get this one instead. Not that big of a deal though, and yeah leather sucks in the heat.

Guess we are the only two willing to show off our MCs. Oh well. Too bad this forum isnt more active. The Blazer forum is always kicking. I assumed the MC forum would be too but nope. Dead as a door nail =(

I really like that blue color. Before I got the MC, I was looking at a 2004 M3 that looked almost the same color. Then I remembered Chevy rules and got the MC. Very nice car though!!

I like the head rest. Im no NASCAR fan as well, but it will still be worth a bit more later on.

I am thinking of finding a wrecked one with black leather and buying the headrests, saving the Earnhardt ones in case I sell it.

Just keep it, it isnt all that of an eyesore, and it would look wrong if it didnt have the headrests.

I have a 03 Jeff Gordon signiture edition. i hate gordon and not that much of a nascar fan but hey its still a monte and looks sweet as hell with the blue paint. i will post pics later if i can figure it out

i have a 86 monte ss

its got a new 305 (why the guy put a 305 in it dont know), a new trans, new computer, and new tires. body rust is minimal, only surface. interior is pretty close to perfect. paint is beat up a bit, but looks good from afar. car has 83,000 miles and engine and trans have 5000 miles. the car was not messed with and was very well taken care of. engine sounds good and the car runs great. btw, its my first car

i was checkin out the receipts the guy had for this car and he put well over 6k into plus what he origianlly paid for it. i got it off him for $3300.

Maybe you should do a little research before posting. The "last generation" of Monte Carlos that were RWD were made from 1981 to 1988 ( even though the '88s production levels were a lot less.) Hopefully someday soon, we'll see a new RWD Monte Carlo from GM... one can hope can't they?

i would get an older one but they tend to be more expensive when in better shape. I got my 03 for 7,500 with 60,000 miles. I could let that deal pass me by. I had 2 choices an 03 for what i said before or an 86 with a rebuilt drive train for 10,000.

Go to a photo hosting site such as www.tinypic.com ( I use that one), or photobucket and upload the photo(s) you want from your computer. After uploading, you will be given an IMG code,) also listed as a code for message boards, forums, MySpace, etc.) Take that code and come back here and insert it into your post. Make sure the code you copy starts with , most sites have it already set up for you to just copy the code and paste it into your post. If not then you have to add the tag [img] to the beginning of the code, and to the end of the code.

It appears to be showing the whole picture on my screen. Do you have ads on your screen when you are on this site? Maybe the ads arecxutting down on the viewable area and not showing the whole picture:dunno:.
My '76 looked very similar to yours. Unfortuneatly I only have "regular " picsof it as it was the mid to late '80s and digital cameras weren't around then . If I can find the pics, I'll scan them into my computer and post 'em here.

1988 Monte carlo SS, Right now I've got a 350, started out as a Dart M-series shortblock, the top ends salvaged from another 350 but I'm replacing it part at a time, after i get some new heads im going to convert it over to a roller cam. Because i've got a rock solid bottem end, the overall goal is to turbocharge this engine with a blow through demon carb. I'm almost finished droppin in the new geared out 700R4 overdrive trans, high stall TC, I'm using the stock shifter setup(on the floor), but i'm going to pickup a nice shift kit to hold at any gear. I've got a posi rear end with 4.11's but i want to downsize to a 3.73 gear set for a higher top speed, im not totaly sure if im going to swap the 4.11's yet.

The ss is a 1984, soon to be mine. The dark blue is a 1985 with 4.3 injection.

They both run great. I had to install a driver side motor mount on the dark blue one. Followed by new trans cooler lines. The ss I had to replace the engine and a steel brake line from front to back, older classics are always in need of somthing. But they are lots of fun.

here's my 2 one is a 07 SS with the 5.3 V8 the color of the car is black amethyst and the other is a 87 LS/SS full interior swap to maroon from the LS blue.385Fastburn gm crate motor and just installed the 8.5 rear from a gn in it.
