A/C-Heater-Defroster brokepint4 08-28-2006, 02:43 PM I have a 2000 ssei. The blower works but only when it feels like it. It didn't work all weekend. I drove over a series of potholes on the highway and all of a sudden the blower is working again. My wife has the same expeiences. She gets in the car and its not blowing any air. She hits a bump and like magin the blower starts workoing again. Is there something in the front end such as a controller or switch that could be loose? It is a mystery. Any ideas? Anyone else have a simialr problem? JJ052653 08-29-2006, 10:57 AM I had a similiar problem with my 95. The heater would go on going over a bump and then stop. The heater would start out strong then stop. I eventually found out that is was the fan that was gone. In order to prove this, eveytime the heater would not turn on, I would take a long wooden stick and very gently, hit/tap the fan motor. The fan would start for a while and then would quit. The removing and replacing the fan on he 95 was a real challenge. I destroy the fan fins pulling out the motor, becasue of the lack of space to remove the old one. Installing the new one, I remove the fan fins from the motor, and then re-assembled the motor to the fan fins in the fire wall hole. Take you time, but it can be done. The motor and fan fans was about $ 60.00. Hope this helps. good luck. Winter is coming. pint4 08-29-2006, 06:11 PM My fan was just replaced about 18 months ago. Hopefully I didn't end up with a second lemon. Thanks for your reply. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
