i have a 80 model cobra it's got the cobra ground affects, strips, we'll the whole cobra package. it's been in the family for about 11 yrs and we have tried to find info on it but it's got 11 vin#'s insted of 17 i need to kno about how much it's worth before i stick some nitrouse to it and run it down the track. i also have a 82 gt and it's got the same package it had a 289 in it but i pulled it out to put a 347 stroker in it and i dont know if i should put the nitrous to it instead of the cobra. But i any one could tell me some info on either one of these cars could u please let me now i would appreciate the help

keep the cobra as prestine and stock as you can... dog out the gt... the cobra may get you some good money in the future if you decide to auction it off as a classic car

pulled of a mustang page

"Only one V8 was available and it only powered out 119 horsepower on a good day. It had 4.2 liters and 255 cubic inches on a small block. This V8 had two distinctions in 1980, it was the smallest V8 ever and it was the worst. The lack of horsepower may be a reason for slow sales of the V8. "

Also your GT must have had the 302 HO motor replaced with that 289, cause the only mottor they came with in 82 was a 302. and dont say "im gonna put nitrous on it and run it down the track." you sound like a ricer. :thumbsdow:

A mustang cobra? I thought they didnt start them till 93' Those are SVT Cobra's, they're completly different then 1980 Cobra's. They're pretty rare but just remember it's only worth what someone is willing to pay. The only way you're gonna get any money out of it is if you find someone that considers 1980 Cobra's "classics", and there aren't too many people that do.

keep it stock restore it and in twenty years you might get lucky but in my opinion most 80's cars were peices.... but later on they started coming up so who knows keep it in the family :)
