hoe to check the timming belt or remove the side cover does it need to remove the valgelcol 08-26-2006, 10:51 AM got 1992 honda acc. lx need to check my timming belt anyone ? T.Y. AudioGuy93DelSol 08-26-2006, 12:36 PM To physically see your timing belt you have to remove the upper timing cover. To just check and make sure it hasn't snapped, open your oil filler and look inside while someone cranks the engine. If you see movement, the timing belt is still intact. gelcol 08-27-2006, 01:23 AM To physically see your timing belt you have to remove the upper timing cover. The valve cover has to come off first. The upper timing cover is locked below it. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
