WD-40 is not a good lubricant. Parts the cable hooks to are hanging up. Make sure the throttle plate is not sticking. jwaj2002 08-26-2006, 11:05 AM the problem I had with my throttle cable on my old celica was that it was braking, the winds were snapping and getting caught, with incidently when it did break made it go full throttle, I'd put a new cable in the car just to be safe ProZach626 08-26-2006, 01:28 PM the problem I had with my throttle cable on my old celica was that it was braking, the winds were snapping and getting caught, with incidently when it did break made it go full throttle, I'd put a new cable in the car just to be safe Is this easy to do?
