anyone kno of any good brands of bolt on exhaust/mufflers?..so i dont have to get it welded on..they have'um for the imprezas..do they have'em for the s13's?...thx

I thought most catbacks of brand name didnt need to be welded since they are a bolt on mod...

The one's you weld are the cheap-o ones that just come muffler or just the tip...and you use whatever piping they have. (Btw...those suck!)

catback systems have hangars you put through their mounting hole that is stock and then you bend that hangar(looks like a straw) so it sticks in there, and some of them have gaskets, thats about the size of most catback systems... once you get the old one out abut anyone could install it.

your best option is to get a catback system. i have a pacesetter catback on my eclipse and it is very cheap. so money shouldn't be much of a big deal. for the 240 it runs about $170. mine sounds very deep, so it doesn't have that whinny sound. i will admit its not the best but it is 3" piping with a 5" tip. i am very satisfied with mine. but there are better systems. don't get just a tip or muffler. go all out.

Catback exhaust for 170? What? Where?

I know some ppl are not about spending the $$$ on name brands and rather get custom or generic/no name...but you WILL get what you paid for...crap.

So go out, do it right the first time, and get the quality name brand...it's expensive for a reason..b/c it wont break or bust and it performs for YOUR car the way it should...

when your getting your muffler installed and they have 2 remove it ... the pipes are usually stuck together cauze of the heat... so they have to use a torch to get it off
