ZL1power69 08-25-2006, 11:18 PM shit we're talkin bout corners, haha my bad. u would have to use somethin like a GE #194 for corners (pretty small if thats what ur lookin for) goldz28 08-25-2006, 11:19 PM PM me the seller and i will look in to it... Thanks 666_speed 08-25-2006, 11:29 PM I checked, that seller doesn't have any for sale now :/ poormillionaire2 08-25-2006, 11:31 PM I got my clearcorners here: http://www.neweraperformanceparts.com/default.asp?S=503&A=E&PKV=9302li|0 Only $40 brand new. I wish I would have put clear bulbs in them instead of yellow ones. But I think clear blinkers are illegal here. 666_speed 08-25-2006, 11:32 PM They're illegal here too :) poormillionaire2 08-25-2006, 11:34 PM I guess most cops wouldn't pay attention to that shit. Besides, I don't have my license plate mounted on the front of my car and I am currently running open headers. Not the best way to not get tickets... ZL1power69 08-25-2006, 11:36 PM ur pretty much begging for a ticket 666_speed 08-25-2006, 11:36 PM Does anyone know if Indiana is required to pass emissions? ZL1power69 08-25-2006, 11:38 PM Does anyone know if Indiana is required to pass emissions? yep, evey 2 years for anything newer than 76 666_speed 08-25-2006, 11:40 PM Damn. poormillionaire2 08-25-2006, 11:40 PM I think emissions all depends on the counties, not the entire state. Here in MO, only 3 counties (largest counties I might add) are emissions required. But they now passed a law saying that cars 96 and older don't have emissions anymore...so no cat for me! I'd say look it up or call up there and just ask. As for the open headers, its crazy always looking around for cops. Its louder than any motorcycle I've ever heard. I honestly can say now that its too lound and I can't wait to slap that y-pipe on it. But I won't have anytime next week. But I did just get in my O2 sensor and 160*thermo, so I'm gonna go pick that stuff up tomorrow before work. goldz28 08-25-2006, 11:40 PM I just called the Police, they said the front ones can be clear but the side markers have to be amber or red... 666_speed 08-25-2006, 11:41 PM Is there any way to get around no cat, other than put one back on? poormillionaire2 08-25-2006, 11:43 PM For visual or functional? Well, yes for both. O2 Sims for functional and take the cat case apart and mount it around your y-pipe where it would originally go for visual. goldz28 08-25-2006, 11:44 PM Is there any way to get around no cat, other than put one back on? Are you talking about passing emissions w/o cats? You can get O2 sims like i did but they dont work at all. My check Engine light is on... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: Edit- He would not pass if they did the rod up his tail pipe test... poormillionaire2 08-25-2006, 11:44 PM Speaking of looking for parts, I want smoked rear side markers. Where can I get those? Can't seem to find them anywhere. ZL1power69 08-25-2006, 11:47 PM u can smoke them urself if u can't find covers. just mix some black paint with clear and spray them. poormillionaire2 08-25-2006, 11:52 PM I could, but I'm lazy...I just want to buy them and put them on. And I just found out last night, that one of the bulbs for those side markers is out. I thought is pretty funny. It never ends with these cars. poormillionaire2 08-25-2006, 11:53 PM And has anyone noticed how dead the firebird forum has gotten over the last few months? No one hardly ever posts in there anymore. 666_speed 08-25-2006, 11:56 PM I dunno, Kentucky doesn't require me to pass emissions. I was just wondering should I have to move there, what it would take to pass. poormillionaire2 08-25-2006, 11:59 PM A dirty mechanic and some dollar bills could get you to pass. ZL1power69 08-26-2006, 12:04 AM if u wanna remove the cat (or u already have), the best way to pass emissions is to use tuning software (ls1 edit, etc) to knock out the rear O2's so they will not be used and the computer will not throw a code. this is if ur location does not require a visual inspection. if thats the case u need to hollow out the cat, reinstall it and knock out the rear O2's 666_speed 08-26-2006, 12:07 AM Thanks guys! I could just pay the $75 and have one put back on, but where's the fun in that? 666_speed 08-26-2006, 12:15 AM Who Posted? Rally, see who has a thread that has been stickied. Not by John pleasuring himself, but rather posted at the top for the benefit of the masses. goldz28 08-26-2006, 08:55 AM Thanks guys! I could just pay the $75 and have one put back on, but where's the fun in that? You can get some hi flow cats so you will not loose that much performance. Mr. Luos 08-26-2006, 10:17 AM I rule. 3 posts. FormulaLT1 08-26-2006, 10:19 AM FormulaLT1 rules. Thats all. Oh, you :smooch: Mr. Luos 08-26-2006, 10:34 AM I am on a role. God my head hurts from last night's drinking.... 666_speed 08-26-2006, 10:41 AM That's a good idea Gold, but I have a 3.8 and no performance anyways. You two get a room already, and you said 97 was bad.... FormulaLT1 08-26-2006, 10:48 AM I am on a role. God my head hurts from last night's drinking.... A headache is nothing. Thats far from rock bottom. You have a long way to go still, I say run with it :evillol: . cooltc2004 08-26-2006, 11:11 AM Look at that, I go away for a while and theres a part 3 to the madness. FormulaLT1 08-26-2006, 11:27 AM Look at that, I go away for a while and theres a part 3 to the madness. More than just a while, where the hell have you been and you better not say out getting a real life cause we don't allow that type of talk around this forum :nono: :icon16: Mr. Luos 08-26-2006, 11:47 AM I think the hangover is starting to go away.....slowly. Mr. Luos 08-26-2006, 11:57 AM Jesus....my house is freezing. Damn CO...only 77 degrees today, and my drunk ass had the A/C on last night. Rally Sport 08-26-2006, 12:03 PM Thats one of the cool things about Texas.. its always hot so no matter how long the AC stays on, as long as it isnt overnight or you didnt put it down below 68 or whatever it wont get cold. 666_speed 08-26-2006, 12:15 PM I hate cold, I'd love to live in Texas. FormulaLT1 08-26-2006, 12:25 PM Mid 70's sounds perfect to me. Mr. Luos 08-26-2006, 12:29 PM Yeah, but I left the A/C on overnight....froze the day house. Kinda wish I wasn't hungover...I would take those axles out and get the new studs in them. But I don't think the smell of gear oil would do me well right now. Rally Sport 08-26-2006, 12:29 PM Yeah I love it when it's around 70 outside.. its funny though because if it hits around 89 over here, everybody comes out. Mr. Luos 08-26-2006, 01:03 PM I think I am about clear from the hangover. But damn this house is still cold. Rally Sport 08-26-2006, 01:12 PM How cold? If I were you i'd open up all the windows, turn off the A/C (Ofcourse, if you havent already) and then just sit there.. or just turn on the heater and then turn it off when it gets hot enough. Mr. Luos 08-26-2006, 01:17 PM It is warming up slowly. I am just cold. ZL1power69 08-26-2006, 01:50 PM i did the same thing. this past week its been in the mid 80's so i left the ac on during the day, then forgot to turn it off before i went to sleep. it got down to 55 outside and my dumb ass had the ac on. now i have a cold :banghead: i just got back from the corvette show in carlisle so if anyone wants to see the pics from the show i'll post the link to the album when i get it together. skibum1111 08-26-2006, 05:06 PM It got cold here the other night too, ac was on and I swear I had to piss off a skim of ice on the toilet in the morning :icon16:. Almost time for heat, there was frost about an hour north of me last night. Mr. Luos 08-26-2006, 05:11 PM The weather is just weird here. Not even going to make 80 degrees the next 3 days. Yesterdat felt like it was 95. skibum1111 08-26-2006, 05:15 PM Not supposed to hit 80 this week here, guess summer is over :shakehead. FormulaLT1 08-26-2006, 05:15 PM The weather is just weird here. Not even going to make 80 degrees the next 3 days. Yesterdat felt like it was 95. Yeah, major temp drop and I am loving it :). Sorry to the rest of you perfect weather haters :p skibum1111 08-26-2006, 05:19 PM Perfect weather for me is 20 degrees, sun out, fresh snow, day off and free ski tickets in my hand as I'm driving to the mountain. I can deal with summer ok, I just don't like high humidity. Mr. Luos 08-26-2006, 05:30 PM Oh no, this is great. Minus the thunderstorms/rain. skibum1111 08-26-2006, 05:45 PM Thunderstorms are awesome. I have 12 feet of window in my living room, we face west which is where they come from, and its an awesome view. Too bad they freak out the cats but the birds love them. goldz28 08-26-2006, 05:46 PM That's a good idea Gold, but I have a 3.8 and no performance anyways. You two get a room already, and you said 97 was bad.... I thought yours was a z28 poormillionaire2 08-26-2006, 08:00 PM I thought yours was a z28 He whores too much to have the extra 2 cylinders. And I hate rain too. Love evenings with mid 70's and lots of people out so I can annoy them with my obnoxiously loud car... ZL1power69 08-26-2006, 08:11 PM the rain caused me to have 2 accidents so yea, im not a fan poormillionaire2 08-26-2006, 08:13 PM I totalled my first Z on wet pavement after it rained. Wet weather sucks. It used to be fun for donuts and stuff, but driving, rain is a pain in the ass. Other people don't know how to drive in the rain either, which doesn't help. ZL1power69 08-26-2006, 08:32 PM no what sucks is not having abs brakes in the rain. hydroplaning is what caused my accidents. nothing i could do. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
