skibum1111 04-08-2007, 07:35 AM when i'm braking do i keep my foot on the clutch? As you are coming to a stop you can downshift, engine braking means less wear on the brakes themselves. When you come to a complete stop your foot better be on the clutch and it better be on the floor or you will get that familiar jerking motion as you stall the car . I've done it a few times, did it with the new truck a couple of weeks after I got it, finally heard the end of that one. 666_speed 04-08-2007, 11:14 AM Gold, pics. http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/1102/1ars1.png (http://imageshack.us) http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/1196/46712333xm3.png (http://imageshack.us) http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/8467/36449436na0.png (http://imageshack.us) http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/500/57603693da6.png (http://imageshack.us) http://img376.imageshack.us/img376/6415/95354212za4.png (http://imageshack.us) http://img376.imageshack.us/img376/7425/79395003ag7.png (http://imageshack.us) http://img376.imageshack.us/img376/8995/84414790lo1.png (http://imageshack.us) goldz28 04-08-2007, 02:01 PM Nice, chances are I am going to get them 666_speed 04-08-2007, 02:09 PM I'll check back next weekend. If you want more pictures of anything, think about it and PM what it is you're wanting pictures of and I can get them posted next weekend. 2.2 Straight six 04-08-2007, 02:13 PM a Camaro and a TA? lucky for some... 666_speed 04-08-2007, 02:41 PM When I get the TA fixed I'm looking to get rid of both. I'm not happy with the Trans Am. I still want a GTO. twospirits 04-08-2007, 03:04 PM Hooray! booked tickets for Florida. leave London Gatwick at 10:30am local time and arrive in Orlando at 5:35pm (Orlando local time) going via Charlotte. flying US Airways. probably sucks, but it's cheap. Oh god, the U.S. will never be the same again. :grinyes: Seriously, have fun in Orlando. TS poormillionaire2 04-08-2007, 03:07 PM Ahh...those pics are terrible. That road rash on the TA makes me sad. When I get the TA fixed I'm looking to get rid of both. I'm not happy with the Trans Am. I still want a GTO. And not happy with the TA? Don't like the LS1 or something? 666_speed 04-08-2007, 03:14 PM I like the LS1 a lot. It just has a lot of the same little annoyances that the Camaro had. I'm just looking for something different. I really want an m6 too. poormillionaire2 04-08-2007, 03:33 PM A GTO is definately something different. Mske sure you get the LS2 though. balls_to_the_wall 04-08-2007, 07:01 PM Anyone got a write up on putting a bigblock into a 3rd gen?? Reason I'm asking is that we've got a 454 w/ a turbo 400 sitting in a truck doing nothing and a friend that has a 3rd gen that has had packrats get into it so the wiring is trashed. I've been thinking of trying to shove that monster in it for shits and giggles and try to see what I can do. skibum1111 04-08-2007, 07:22 PM It's possible, but I do believe there is some cutting of the inner fenders involved, and forget about changing the plugs with the motor in the car. Also, a hood scoop is needed as the carb(s) definately won't clear the top of the hood, crossmember needs to be changed and the front suspension needs some serious work to hold the extra weight. Plus custom headers to clear the front suspension. Good luck with it, its hard work but makes for a fun car when its done. poormillionaire2 04-08-2007, 09:22 PM Definately a lot of work, but its do-able. You'll have a rare combo though. ZL1power69 04-08-2007, 09:27 PM theres a guy locally that has a 427 bb in a 3rd gen rs. he had to hack things up pretty good to get it to fit. balls_to_the_wall 04-08-2007, 11:22 PM theres a guy locally that has a 427 bb in a 3rd gen rs. he had to hack things up pretty good to get it to fit. Hmmm, this wouldn't be a pretty car thats for sure. The body isn't in the best of shape, turd brown and some rust (81 Z28) and it would be a redneck go fast in a straight line car. Although if it gets pulled off I think it could be real fun. 2.2 Straight six 04-09-2007, 04:41 AM Oh god, the U.S. will never be the same again. :grinyes: Seriously, have fun in Orlando. TS i won't be in Orlando much, i'll be off near Orange City. it's more a trip to salvage my relationship than to have fun. oh well, 11 days until i leave. i'll have to leave the house at something like 5am to get to the airport in time. i live in north-west London and have to go all through central London, accross the river and out of south london, then about 50 miles of motorway before i reach the airport. i might be taking a train instead. poormillionaire2 04-09-2007, 11:00 AM I hate traveling. balls_to_the_wall 04-09-2007, 11:03 AM I like traveling, I just don't like paying the money for fuel. 2.2 Straight six 04-09-2007, 12:17 PM i've done enough travelling that i'm used to crap flights, no legroom, screaming children and people you want to punch. luckily, my dad's said he'll pay for my flights. so that saves me a few hundred. poormillionaire2 04-09-2007, 01:53 PM So your old man wants you out of the country, too, huh? balls_to_the_wall 04-10-2007, 01:17 AM 2.2 Straight six 04-10-2007, 01:42 AM So your old man wants you out of the country, too, huh? yeah.. poormillionaire2 04-10-2007, 08:44 AM Ya'll might appreciate this... http://www.houston-imports.com/forums/showthread.php?t=379539 Shit, if that were me, I would have left my ugly mug out of that last pic. Sucks for any car owner and I won't laugh....too hard. 2.2 Straight six 04-10-2007, 08:53 AM another reason not to drive a honda... poormillionaire2 04-10-2007, 09:50 AM I thought his muffler would have saved him. balls_to_the_wall 04-10-2007, 12:12 PM A friend I went to HS with just got a Paxton S/C bolted on his 03 Mustang GT, new injectors and fuel pump (although the new one maxed out a 5k rpms so hes got to upgrade again) he just put down 387hp and 397tq to the wheels. The guy who tuned it said once the fuel pump gets fixed it should be up to around 430hp. Hes got the 5psd, short throw, 4.10's, Nitto DR's, Exhaust, and the Supercharger. Can't wait to ride in it/drive it. :):) 2.2 Straight six 04-10-2007, 12:29 PM i've been in a modified GT500. can't wait until i can drive it. it's got a 460ci big-block and an eaton blower now. when i went in it before it had the stock engine and a few minor mods. i love the look of the GT500s in red with white stripes. it's good to have friends who build race cars for a living... balls_to_the_wall 04-10-2007, 01:04 PM i've been in a modified GT500. can't wait until i can drive it. it's got a 460ci big-block and an eaton blower now. when i went in it before it had the stock engine and a few minor mods. i love the look of the GT500s in red with white stripes. it's good to have friends who build race cars for a living... :useless: 2.2 Straight six 04-10-2007, 02:20 PM i'll ask my mate. they've got all kinds of interesting things at their shop. see if i can get photos of the various cars in there. stone_mound_camaro 04-11-2007, 12:24 AM WTF where did your post go gold? 2.2 Straight six 04-11-2007, 02:44 AM it went to the darkest depths of AF. goldz28 04-11-2007, 03:03 AM I delted it. Did not work for me. I will post up just the link to the vid. I am sure you guys have seen it before Link to Chad Vader (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wGR4-SeuJ0) it went to the darkest depths of AF. Where did you go? edit- nevermind 2.2 Straight six 04-11-2007, 03:17 AM Where did you go? i'm still here.. poormillionaire2 04-11-2007, 03:08 PM I have so much to do this week its not even fair. Sure, come people can handle more on a regular basis, but I don't want to. Homework sucks. And stacking homework assignments makes it even worse. I just want to take a nap... 2.2 Straight six 04-12-2007, 03:17 AM haw haw. i have the easiest college course. light vehicle maintenance and repair. 2 days a week, we usually go home by lunch time. easy "tests" and stuff. 'tis an easy life at CNWL. poormillionaire2 04-12-2007, 08:24 AM Well, some of its not too bad. I guess some of it is just inconvenience. But I did write my entire research paper last night, so that helped get something off the list of things to do. But I'm in a computerized accounting class and we work with specific software and I have to use the computers at school to do it, and I work the rest of the week and both assignments are due next week. I just don't know when I will find time to get them done. I'm almost done with one but I'm off by a few thousand dollars, so I have to find that mistake, then I haven't even started my other one yet. I think I might skip both. 2.2 Straight six 04-12-2007, 11:14 AM i wanted to see how bright my camera flash was, so i used the test mode on myself and now i can just see a big pink rectangle and my eyes hurt. poormillionaire2 04-12-2007, 12:48 PM Good job, you burned out your optic nerve. Now go stare at the sun. 2.2 Straight six 04-12-2007, 03:57 PM they're ok now. i was seeing a flourescent-coloured rectange for like 15 minutes after i did that. shit, that flash is powerful.. poormillionaire2 04-12-2007, 06:48 PM I've seen colored shapes before after seeing BRIGHT lights and stuff. I think those mean that you did some damage to the eye. Not a good thing. 2.2 Straight six 04-13-2007, 05:25 AM yeah, but it goes away after a while. News just in! Rally's Mother. more on that later. poormillionaire2 04-13-2007, 09:27 PM WTF? You tryin to bait him and get him to post something? 666_speed 04-14-2007, 07:55 AM Now I need a hood for the TA too. We bent it trying to get the hood up leaving academy because the battery went dead. This fucking blows. Finally get the car started and the throttle is sticking, without touching the gas it would do 40+ mph. I'm fucking sick of this car. goldz28 04-14-2007, 08:02 AM That sucks man. Get it fixed and get your GTO Viper_Storm 04-14-2007, 11:30 AM yo bitches ps, i just had to vote for the rally option for that poll poormillionaire2 04-14-2007, 11:38 AM Damn 6, nothing but bad luck with this car. I agree with Gold, fix it up, sell it to some dumb 16 year old for a higher price, and get the goat. It will all be over and behind you, then you can start modding the LS2. Viper_Storm 04-14-2007, 11:40 AM Now I need a hood for the TA too. We bent it trying to get the hood up leaving academy because the battery went dead. This fucking blows. Finally get the car started and the throttle is sticking, without touching the gas it would do 40+ mph. I'm fucking sick of this car. i will give you 500 bucks for it as is, i will put up with its problems. btw, what happened to it? i dont come around to much, i seen the pics of it but no story on what happened? 666_speed 04-14-2007, 12:01 PM I'm going to try to fix it and get rid of it. I need something new. It's developed a whole new set of problems now. I'm pissed. poormillionaire2 04-14-2007, 03:13 PM I hate it when new toys start breaking. Such a frustrating occurance. skibum1111 04-14-2007, 05:10 PM That's the purpose of toys. Supposed to break all the time and suck all the money out of your wallet. Which is part of the reason why I have not taken the ss out yet this year, the rest of the reason is because it keeps snowing and I won't drive the car if there is salt on the road. poormillionaire2 04-14-2007, 05:21 PM I thought that was women... 666_speed 04-14-2007, 07:50 PM It's time to part with some toys and focus on ONE. I need something new and get rid of this shit. I don't have time for the headache right now. poormillionaire2 04-14-2007, 08:32 PM Get some pics of the new goat when you get it. I drove a few, pretty fun for the small course they let us run around on. 666_speed 04-14-2007, 09:01 PM Wednesday I am officially half way done with academy! I'm excited. It blows. poormillionaire2 04-14-2007, 09:52 PM Congrats, hope its worth it for ya'. It would suck if you get done and decide that its not for you. skibum1111 04-14-2007, 09:58 PM Just like changing your major 3 years into a bachelor's degree.... goldz28 04-14-2007, 10:42 PM Wednesday I am officially half way done with academy! I'm excited. It blows. Thats great man, then you can start being a dick like the rest of the pigs around the USA. Just kidding, just don't let the power get to your head. Espesially if I am ever driving though Indiana...lol. What are the new problems with the car? poormillionaire2 04-14-2007, 11:51 PM Hahaha. I was bored and went back through some of the old posts in this banter thread, and let me tell ya', when everyone is around and kickin', we're some funny idiots. I started clicking some random pages and hit a week or so before X-mas and read through New Years, around page ~240 or so. Good stuff. 666_speed 04-15-2007, 08:05 AM It's started giving itself fuel, like doing 40+ mph without touching the gas, battery or altenator, an electrical issue where lights on the dash come on when I touch the brakes, trip and radio resets every time I turn the car off.....Stuff like that. goldz28 04-15-2007, 08:11 AM It's started giving itself fuel, like doing 40+ mph without touching the gas, battery or altenator, an electrical issue where lights on the dash come on when I touch the brakes, trip and radio resets every time I turn the car off.....Stuff like that. Weird, did you get a warranty with the car? Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
