i just spoke to a guy from UTI texas, he was really nice. luckily, it costs no more if you're not a US citizen. it's still through the roof, but at least it doesn't cost me any extra.

All you have to do is set up housing, food, and a job for spending money. To work here you need the necessary paperwork, not sure exactly what though. Good luck.

Some of us might have actually had something more important to do. I had a 7 hour meeting for work yesterday, and a funeral this morning. It actually did stop me from going online (for once) and I started shaking from withdrawl symptoms this afternoon :lol:

'Twas more fun annoying the crap out of the cop doing brake stands at the end of my driveway about 3 feet from the sidewalk. It's going okay. We've been in trouble a lot last week. We put in a little over 84 hours last week. 5 a.m. until 11 p.m. every night and on friday we put in a little over 12 hours.

Get used to it. Cops here are rarely on their own time. State requires their troopers to stop for disabled cars on their way home, which is why a few I know stay away from the highway as often as possible.

So, I'm getting bombarted with snow right now. Earlier, it was rain, then sleet, and now snow. And the temp is 27*F right now. I actually had to go to school this morning for my 8:30a class, do a group assignment, then find out that all classes after 10 were canceled. What idiots! We already have about 2"-3" right now, and its only been snowing for 3 hours. That's a lot for where I'm at. I'm scared to drive to work this afternoon. I was sliding this morning in the truck. No fun.

The high for here was 27*, as 12:01am and downhill ever since. WE had 3" accumulate early Monday morning, shoveled that out to get the new 3-4 this morning and still going up to 12" all said and done.

Part that kills me, they knew this storm was coming and the roads were crap. They had little idea what monday Morning's little passer by would do, and everything was clear :dunno:

I think this is like our 3rd HUGE snow storm, but probably our 7th snow fall this winter. Winters aren't usually this bad here in the midwest. Can't wait for spring.

6" of snow here is huge. But I just got home from work and it stopped snowing and stuff. It looks to be about 4" or so, but the roads are terrible. Since it rained, then sleeted, then snowed, all the snow has been plowed off, but the nasty ice is still there. It was a fun drive home. I hope my college cancels classes again tomorrow.

we got about 3 inches here in md so far but its been sleeting for the last 2 hrs and we're getting freezing rain overnight, changing back to snow later tomorrow. 3-6 inches of snow and at leat a half inch of ice, not gonna be a fun day tomorrow. roads were a mess but i didnt have any problems. my classes were canceled tonight so im hoping they will be tomorrow too.

Florida has some wacked out weather. I've never seen rain like we have rain here. There have been multiple times where it will be pouring in the front side of my house and it wont be raining at all in the back, not even sprinkling. My mother reported driving home from work and it raining on her side of the road, but oncoming traffic was completely dry!
