does anyone know if the fuel filter on this vehicle is located in the gas tank?? thanks

The fuel filter is located outside the fuel tank. The catch is: The fuel filter assy consists of the filter, and some premade lines. These are attached via some fancy quick connects. I paid about $70 for the filter assy, and the garage had to drop the fuel tank a little to reach the quick connects. It may take a special tool to do the quick connects as well. I forgot to ask them.

The filter rests almost on top of the fuel tank 9aft side) and looks like an octobpus (well not 8 legged). I did mine without dropping the tank (takes patience). The filter is bolted to bottom of floor pan and the lines are of the push in the sides with maybe needle nose pliers and pull the line out (four if I remeber). I bought my filter at Advance for about $30.00.
