Ok, Last week I got on here about my gas pedal sticking and such. Now I took a better look at the problem and it's not the gas pedal itself.

When I push the gas pedal down it comes back up but it's really loose. I noticed that the cord it pulls on gets stuck. If you noticed in the pictures below. The red arrow indicates where the end of the cord is. If you notice in the first one, it is at rest. The other one shows the cord when pull. But as the gas pedal goes back, the end of the cord stays where it was pushed:

I talked to a guy at church this sunday and he said that it most likely has to do with the throttle body. That I need to clean it and put the lubricant or liquid that it needs. He said something about being careful with it and that it's sensative and when I turn it on after I clean it, that a whole bunch of black smoke should come out since I cleaned it.

Does this ring a bell. Does anyone have any better directiosn on this?

Remove and discard the rubber boot on the trottle body end of the cable. They get gummed up and cause the cable to stick. After removing the boot, clean then oil the cable in that area to get rid of any sticky gunk.

This was discussed in the last week. Look here:
