Lite problem..D2003gnb 08-20-2006, 01:48 AM 91' Honda Accord the lights on the back are not working. Brake lights do work when I press down on the peddle. I replace all the bulbs on the back... but still nothing comes on. I checked the fuse...(the lil chips) but I didn't see none of them burn or damage. I afraid of taking it to the mechanics, don’t want to pay a lot ... and with school around the corner. yeah, suck! Is there a way I can fix this problem? I'm kind of getting tired driving home in the evening with the emergency lights on. When checking the fuse, is there something i should be looking at? Again.. back lights don’t work.. brake lights do work.. ps. In the front of the vehicle, not the head lights , but underneath it (the lights on the bumper ...i guess) It doesn't turn on, cause its half way fill with water. Could this be causeing all this trouble? sparkeykev 08-24-2006, 04:16 AM use a test light to check fuses one wire to body of car check both sides of fust at top you can see metal pins on each side of fuse both sides should illuminate test bulb if only 1 side illuminates fuse is blown yes the water in the lamp could blow fusedrill small hole on lens to drain jeffcoslacker 08-24-2006, 09:54 AM 91' Honda Accord ps. Could this be causeing all this trouble? Yes...the water has shorted out your parking light circuit, if the fuse was ok it may have torched a contact in the headlight switch or elsewhere...first thing is to get the water out of the equation, water and electrics don't play nice...they are all on the circuit, I believe... Then if that doesn't get them working, you have to start by verifying a good ground path at both ends, then start backprobing the positive side until you find it...I'd start at the headlight switch end, seems like that's where they usually melt down.... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
