Here's my rough idea.

http://www.58vw.com/af/nasboy_1.jpg

I'll show some steps on the truck.

Still real rough but I will use it as the template.

Trying a new method (for me) on this one.

Should be fun.

Interesting technique starting with a "shadow outline" and drawing in the details.
Will there be color? (And use the channels?)
I know some games designers that work that way.

The truck is very wild lookin'.

Hi Lemorris, great graphic design. I have Corel Draw but I've only used it for creating decals for my model work. I presume you have some kind of drawing tablet for your line work? I have tried drawing with the mouse but I'm sure you know how that works. I can't wait to see some color applied.

Ah, by the way, i have a Wacom Graphire 2 Tablet... It's in my closet. I use it sometimes to edit some pictures. I didn't get used to tablets... Maybe a Wacom Cintiq hehehehehe....

I'm stopping here. I received a lot of feedback on this and I appreciate all the input.

My take?

Well...not bad for a first crack. Knowing how it works now I will create the pencil drawing a little different next time. The method is very forgiving in the sense that you can correct mistakes pretty easy and you do have the advantage of being able to add additional layers and tweak all day long.

The one thing I may change is to add one more pencil transfer before I scan. I'm more comfortable when I work out most of the elements before I go into the computer. I'm not that good at winging it so I end up shortcutting my way through a piece I didn't plan well.

Oh well...overall...it's cool.

I'll drop this in my little design later and see how it flys. I have 2 more designs for this outfit so I will have an opportunity to make ammends.

I learned a lot...good stuff.

Nice work.
Your style seems so strong that your work has a recognizable look,
no matter what technique you use.
Thanks for walk thru.
This has expanded may "toolbox" of techniques.

(I've almost finally finished an Expression design using Jeri's technique,
and now you give my another style to think about.):p

Nice!
And even better is to learn from your tips, and now this "Technique Review"
Great!

One question. This work is going to be "silk-screened" over a shirt?

bye
