92k miles. Dual climate control. Have had the outside temperature sensor replaced and the dash/control unit replaced under warranty a few years ago. I have had the A/C checked in the past year and it checked ok in regards to freon amount and leakage.

The A/C will blow warmer under acceleration, hard or slight. If I am driving and the torque converter has locked up and I slightly press on the accelerator the A/C starts blowing warm till I lift off the gas and give it just enough to keep speed. It does the same thing under spirited acceleration as well. I'm thinking it could possibly be the alternator as the blower speed goes slower. Could it be that the system is just low on freon? Any insight is appreciated.

Hi
no expert here, but most newer vehicles have a full-throttle-cutout for the A/C built into the PCM programming. I know you are not necessarily flooring it when the A/C cuts out, but perhaps that system is malfunctioning. I would assume (dangerous) that the PCM gets that information from the throttle position sensor. Any other issues with the car, idling etc. that might point at the sensor? I'm thinking along the lines of a "soft" versus hard failure of the sensor, as that should pop the check engine light etc.

True, never thought of a sensor. This didn't start happening till about 6 weeks ago right when the hot Virginia summer really started to kick in. I guess the easiest thing to try is reset the computer by disconnecting the battery cable. I had to do that one time to get the car to start so it couldn't hurt. I'll update the post when I know something different.
