Loosing a weld in strut tower.crlogic 08-19-2006, 03:57 PM Hi guys. Sorry that's "losing a weld.." My left rear strut tower has a weld that is rusting out and seperating from the body. Is it safe to clean it up and weld it back together? Will post pics later tonight. Cheers cl crlogic 08-19-2006, 09:05 PM Lets see if these work.. Do you know if the car was ever in an accident? I see your profile says Kingston - Is that Kingston, IL by any chance? crlogic 08-19-2006, 11:18 PM kmohr3 It's Kingston Ontario Canada actually. http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=kingston+ontario&ie=UTF8&ll=44.270526,-76.503639&spn=0.110135,0.343323&om=1 No accident that i am aware of. No other possible signs of one either. I don't know when that happened or if it was sudden or not. How often do you look at the strut towers since they're under the carpet? Anyone know if it's ok just to weld'r back up? cl kmohr3 08-20-2006, 10:40 PM maybe it would be a good idea to swing by a couple of body shops and get their input on it vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
