Hey what's up fellas,

This weekend I am going to replace my valve cover gasket for my KA24DE. Is there any speceal way for doing this or do just remove screws and bolts?

Anything special I should keep in mind while doing this task.

I do believe, you got it! I have yet to replace the same gasket on my daughter's 1996 Altima, but it seems pretty straitght-forward kinda deal... Make sure you bought the right gasket for the year of the car... it seems for the 96 there were two different kinds to get . I think all that you do is remove the (6 or so bolts/screws) and replace the rubber gasket that goes between the cover and the engine Head. I'm going to get our gasket from Advance Auto Parts here in New Hampshire, but you can also get installation info from Auto-Zone if you live somewhere in the Advance Auto Parts areas, or... the Auto-Zone areas as well. These auto parts stores can steer you in the right direction. Sometimes their web-sites can help you out as well! Good Luck! dooski-- Happy Motorin' !
