Ok, I'll start with my experience on the way to work. This morning I was driving on the way to work, and my gas pedal seemed stiff. I'd figured it was normal since it was in the morning and it hasen't been used since last night. As i went down the street my car was going really slow so I accelerated. It would start accelerating before It went slow again. I usually don't have to put much pressure on the gas to have it go, but I had to put a little more pressure than normal.

As soon as I started going I wanted to pass this car infront of me tha twas going slow. After I did that I noticed that my car was not slowing down. The gas pedal wasn't stuck, it was at it's normal place where it rests but the car was still accelerating. I had to push the brakes all the way day to slow it down, luckly the red light turn green or else I would of tried the emergency brake to stop it. It continued accelerated for about two more blocks and with me still having my foot down on the break.

Anyways, I kinda freaked out. As i got to work, i parked my car. In the parking gear I accelerated, and it did accelerated but it went back down to normal like it usually does. It didn't stick.

I'm afraid something is getting stuck or something needs to be grease. Does anyone have any idea.

Also something that I would like to add. "Brake" light just came on this morning as well. I'm not sure if it's an independent issure or not so I added here. I also want to tell yal that recently I've been needing to add brake fluid every 2 weeks. I'm always in a rush and I have a crazy habit of accelerating and braking, tailgating, etc. But I've never had this problem in the 3 years I had this car.

Comments suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

The brake light comes on usually due to low brake fluid. if you are adding fluid every 2 weeks you are lossing it somewhere and should take it to a shop to have them find out where it is going.

the sticky peddel could be due to a rubber boot on the throttle linkage that can break down (when it is old) and cause this problem. You can just remove the boot since it is only a dust boot.

Scary when it happens, huh? You'll find that boot leaves a black gummy film on the end of the throttle cable. I cleaned it well and lubed the end of the throttle cable.

Unless you know where the leak is, I'd guess that your brake booster is leaking, where the M/C is attached. The fluid could be accumulating in the diaphram, losing pressure and also gumming up the pedal rod. And like Amigo mentioned, the accelerator cable is right nearby and could be getting some of the fluid all over the rubber boot too.
