I have a 1995 Jetta GLX 5 speed with a 2.8L V6 PFI SOHC 24V. I was informed that my instrument cluster was fried, and I needed a new one. The speedometer/tach and gas gauges don't work, so it sounds realistic...however I have checked local & on line junk yards, ebay etc...and found lots, but they are automatic..is there a difference between the manual and automatic ones? Will either work?

Thanks

Yes it does matter. The speed will not be gauged correctly
