Cars F*cked/Im Fuck*d

Basically my trans will not engage into gear just revs all the way to 7k and doesnt move... i had to push it myself for like 4 blocks and that is one heavy ass motherfucking car..then i drove the rest of the way home in REVERSE getting many bad looks- :( and now im fucked... i dont know what to do ... car has 164k i dont wanna rebuild and then get another major problem- anyways ya im pretty pist right now -

wow that sucks. it wasnt leaking tranny fluid was it? without fluid in an auto thats exactly what happens.

It's an automatic correct?

Check any vaccuum lines going to it... one may of become cracked or broke off... if the tranny has no vaccuum it may not engage. Happened to the Turbo 350 tranny in my mom's old Nova. Developed a vacuum leak and wouldn't shift, it'd only shift out of first when it went to redline and had built enough internal vacuum on it's own.

That's my guess if it just randomly stopped working...

Check for fluid too, that could be a culprit.


I would doubt clutches and bands being bad, had that been a problem you'd of felt it slipping long ago.

Shortly after getting the car registered and insured I found out that the overflow cap and the radiator cap were both bad. I replaced them, but the car had already lost a lot coolant out of the overflow. So I had to go buy coolant but I haven't been able to fill it because I had an accident at work and I'm not supposed to be on my feet. So I have to wait until I can be up and walking around on a constant basis before I can fix.

Nothing serious.

5k for a tt isnt always a scam... theres a shop owner in detroit selling a veryyyy nice stealth tt with like 120k miles and no problems and very nice for only 5,000..... some people get desperate and need money , He got married so he wanted it gone...

A Stealth is a different story. VR-4s generally sell for quite a bit more than their R/T TT equivalents.

I tell you it's the curse of the Stealth. THE CURSE!!!!!!!!!!

I personally prefer the looks of the 3KGT VR4 to the Stealth. I just got the stealth cause it was cheaper. The one I had was the worst vehicle i've ever owned. Atleast if I had gotten the VR4 I would've liked the looks of it.
