My 1.0L puddle jumper has 155k on it now.:grinyes: It runs good with the a/c off and OK with it on. I would like to get a new engine for it. E-bay has the jdm engines for pre 95. One auction said you can change the oil pump to make it work in a 96-02???? Can any one help Thanks Chippy

yes, you can do that. But you'll also have to switch over your intake manifold, and distributor, and any other sensors.

in the interchange it shows that the 98 and newer head is different. not sure if older one will have all the extra holes for sensors and the intake ports on the new one might be bigger to clear where the injectors are. would compare them very carefully before trying the switch

well, the 1.0 is still TBI, so switching over the whole intake manifold would take care of that. Make sure there's not a cam position sensor on your current head.
