I need some help!
I am looking to buy 2 sparco seats for my eclipse. Here is the problem.
I am looking at both the sparco evo seat and the sparco fighter seat. They look almost identical to me except for a few little differences. But it seems that the price difference between them is over $100...
What are the differences between the two seats minus that the EVO seat is meant more for professional drivers....
Is it worth the extra few hundred bucks or should I stick with the Fighter seats which look awsome too....
Here they are:

Thanks for any help!

I would stick w/ the fighter seats, and save yourself a couple hundred bucks.

They both look uncomfortable in my opinion. I would want one that you can lean back and forth still. You'll get sick of those pretty quick in a daily driver I think. :2cents:

It's my weekend car btw...
Ive sat in the evo seat before and found it really comfortable! I even took a nap in it...was in the seat for 5 hours...no problems.

Oh well then if its a weekend car only then I guess it wouldn't be too bad.

Have you sat in the fighter seat or not? If not I would just go to the next car show that has an exhibition....sparco is at a lot of events and usually has a bunch of seats set up....or if a local shop has some that you can try out I would just see which one you like best....I havent sat in the EVO seat but I have sat in the fighter and it was really comfortable...

I have decided to get the Fighter seats in black.
I would like to get the full 4 point harness with the seats. What else do I need to make this happen?
2 x Sparco Fighter seats (black)
2 x Sliders, rails....
2 x competition 4 point harness (black)
1 x harness bar
1 x roll cage
what else do I need? Am I missing anything?

Why would you need the rollcage to do this?...

Apparently it isn't safe to have a racing seat and harness without a roll cage ...and of course a helmet.

Yeah if your running faster than 11's... I see no reason to need a cage unless your making this some ridiculous racecar out of this thing...
If you just want the 4 point harnesses then I believe they make a bar for them that isn't a full cage...
I won't have a rollcage or racing seats or harnesses and I'll be running 11's here. I just don't see a need for it because I'm not gonna be driving my car wrecklessly or anything that would put me in the danger of needing any of that stuff.

I think just the regular Fighter seats look better than the Evo seats, so you made a good call going with those...and you saved some money.

i am trying to save a little money so i am going to do the roll cage later. I would like to save a little more also and still be able to use some of my back seats. I have heard of people having their harnesses bolted to the car and not use a harness bar at all.....is that a bad idea? or should i just stay with the herness bar idea.
Thanks
Thanks

I would just bolt them to the car. That way you would still have some of your backseat and it's also alot neater than having that big ass bar going across the back of your seats.

If you want 4pr harnesses you will loose use of the already worthless backseat if you want to be safe at all. The best way to secure a harness is straight back from the seat to part of the cage or a harness bar. Anything else could/will put weird stress on you/your passenger if you were to get into a car accident. Heres what I would do, get a rollbarwith a harness bar sorta midway through it. You'd be legal to 11.00 IIRC and the harness would be properly put in. I am going to do this eventually in the Talon, but first I need to follow in Kevin's footsteps and get kicked out for a <11.5 without the rollbar. :D
