I need the front panel that the headlights/grille mount to (87-89 LeSabre)(GM #25552445) with the moulding strip. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Anyone parting a car out so I can get it? I dont need the headlights or grille, just the sheetmetal. Thanks! Andy

Ouch, that's the header panel and I've been trying for 6 years everytim I go to the scrap yard to bag one but that along with the rear header for the tail lights are always the first things gone.

Certifit and the like all said 'call for availability' and of course, it's not. :dunno:

HUH? Do you guys live on the moon or something? In a junkyard near me there are at least two decent ones, maybe three. As many LeSabres were made and have died and gone to the junkyard, not all of them were involved in front-end collisions.

I'll see if I can pull a couple the next time I'm at the yard though (which may be a bit with the heat). I know of a good rear header as well... or Ebay:

This is the same part as found on a regular LeSabre.

No not the moon, but close

There's usually a row of em, but those are always the first things gone off PAs and Lesabres.

I'm pretty sure the rears are plastic (I know of a PA with a good one, but I believe they are different from LeSabre), but aren't the fronts fiberglass? I should know this but I can't seem to recall what a broken one looks like.

I must say that the best part about where I live (SW Missouri, south of the rust belt!) cars generally stay in pretty decent shape with minor rust. That makes junkyarding great since I'm not busting off rusted bolts or trying to find parts in decent shape.

They're both fiberglass.

And, on behalf of us stuck above the rust belt, :crying: Cars in a junk yard that don't require a map torch to take apart? :crying:

Both fiberglass? Hmm... I guess I wasn't paying much attention to the rear that much then. I've never had to use a map torch on anything....I kinda wish I could get a sawzall in to chop hoses once in a while though, but the extension cord would be rediculous.

Rust is evil...

:) Junkyarding would give me an excuse to get a mapp torch though....mmm...fire....toy....

3 simple words my friend, Black & Decker cordless :grinyes:

A must for any graverobbing.

And yes, I've had both Lesabre and PA 87 & 89 and they were/are fiberglass
