The interior of my Passat 95 is an ovenfabricior 08-10-2006, 01:44 PM Does anyone knows what is happening with my car? The problem is that once the car is heated up to the normal temperature it begins to heat the interior of the car, no matter if the heater is off. I live in Costa Rica and we have a really nice weather so the tempretarure allows you to drive with wondows and sunroof open, however if I do this the heat that comes from underneath the dashboard and from the rear side of the steering wheel is unbeareble; as a matter of fact if you touch the dashboard it is hot. I have checked the firewall in the engine bay and seems to be fine. Do I need more insulation? or the fact that the air intake of these cars which is located in the engine bay is causing this, but how can I fix it? I just have bought this car 2 months ago and I have expended around $1,200 on "details", but this is something my mechanic adviced me to ask to an AC expert... What can I do? Has anyone heard about this before. Ah! The AC system is working as a freezer so there's no problem with it, well I think... Please help!! My car is a Passat '95, GLX VR6.
