I have these 17" chrome wheels that have bad peeling around the rim. I was wanted to get them re-dipped, but I can't find anywhere around here that does it. and it's suppose to be about as expensive as just getting new rims...So my question is. How would it look to get them powdercoated? and if it would look good, what color should I get. Cuz I don't think I want silver. I want Chrome.... grrrrr, stupid salt. I bought these off a friend of mine and obviously he was a dumbass who couldn't take care of his F.O.R.D. ANYYYYYWAY. With the color scheme of my car, easily seen at my car domain site, should I get Gloss White or Gloss Black, or if anyone knows how they can do like a chrome look-alike thing...or whatever? I'm getting them done for 40buck per wheel, so I think I'm getting a pretty good deal. Anyone care to elaborate? Any opinions or whatever are all welcome, I've got my @$$-kicking boots on today! lol.

OMFG first off you can get your rims redipped for not very much if you send them back to enkei...i have a friend that works there and he just had his redone...and how do you know that these rims will fit on your ride..did you test them before you bought them? i dont know of any ford that even comes close to having the same pattern as our cavi's. If you were to have them repainted i would do a black inside with a chrome lip...

Honestly.... IMO, buy a new set of rims or get your $$$ back. Unless i knew the person first hand, I would never buy a set of use rims again. Too many headache with things going wrong, needed new rubber and in the end i spent as much as it would have costed me to buy a set of brand new ones. $400 for used 17" rims and another $450 for new tires. Sold those off, and spent another $1400 for 5-18" rims with tires and no problems.
