Urgent: Body KitJoeShmoe 08-09-2006, 02:40 PM I have a 95 GXE and want to put a bodykit on it. But I noticed that the front bumper joint does not go back to the wheel well. If I want a bodykit that goes all the way back to the wheel well, do I have to cut the side fender. Has anyone done this before, please help!:uhoh: G-man422 08-09-2006, 02:43 PM are you looking at any bodykit in particular? JoeShmoe 08-09-2006, 02:53 PM No, all bodykits I have looked at the pictures show the front and rear bumpers go all the way to the wheel wells. G-man422 08-09-2006, 02:55 PM They're prolly custom jobs. I'm sure you'll have to do some sort of work, but maybe the kit overlaps? I'm not sure. JoeShmoe 08-09-2006, 03:05 PM Probably, is it that a hard job to do? What kind of tools do I need. G-man422 08-09-2006, 03:09 PM I really dont know. i've never installed a body kit. JoeShmoe 08-09-2006, 03:10 PM oh well. I will do it and post the results. G-man422 08-09-2006, 03:17 PM WOAH! dont just go cutting up your car man. Do some research, go to a bodyshop, etc. JoeShmoe 08-09-2006, 03:19 PM a guy at the body shop said he would do it but it would cost major money. what do you suggest? G-man422 08-09-2006, 03:22 PM ^ big $ to cut of the fender? or to install the kit? Go to a few different shops, not just one. JoeShmoe 08-09-2006, 03:28 PM I will and if I don't go to the body shop I'm not going to start hacking it to pieces. i really pay attention to detail and will make it look as a body shop did it.:evillol: G-man422 08-09-2006, 03:29 PM lol, ok man. good luck. JoeShmoe 08-09-2006, 03:31 PM Thanks bro, peace.:grinyes: wanaplay134 08-13-2006, 01:00 PM there is no need to pay all that extra for nothing the body kit is a 4 piece deal the front and rear install just like it was from the factory and the side skirts just go over the stock ones with glue and they get bolted on also. i did mine in my driveway with hands tools( i bought from a quality company also no ebay shit and it fit perfect) and then i took it in and got my whole car repainted JoeShmoe 08-13-2006, 05:50 PM Hell Yeah! that is the first thing I'm going to do. But I have a couple of dents and dings, will a hammer and mallet do the trick? Another thing, can I put a racing steering wheel, I could not find an adapter to get the same number of holes for the aftermarket wheels, thanks. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
