2002 pathfinder - loss of power and noisy engine when warmed up!!

I have a 2002 pathfinder LE with 50000 miles on it. What's happening is that when the car is cold, it runs great. Good pickup and engine is smooth. As soon as it get warm, the engine feels and sounds like it can't keep up. The engine sounds much louder, especually going up a hill or taking off from a light.

The car had a similar problem last year, but it was remedied by replacing one of the front exhaust pipes (looks like a catalitic conv. but it's). That solved that problem. So this year when this problem came back, I went and purchased a NISSAN exhaust patch kit and patched the other pipe witch had a small leak in it. Now both pipes should be okay, but sluggishness and noisy engine still come back after it warms up. I recently had the coolant flushed and oil changed also.

I'm out of ideas. By the way, when I open the hood, I hear a fairly loud clicking noise that seems to be coming from the top of the engine.

Thank you in advance for your responses...

This is my second path and I drive alot. My car just went throu the same problem. I needed to change both catalytic converters. Everyone was telling me thats impossible, but I just had them fixed and the car runs great. I have 100,000 highway miles on it.:banghead:

Could be a coolant temp sensor reading wrong.

Likewise. My '02 Pathfinder LE runs like a top, sans for the stereo.
