97 2.2 gasoline running out of exhaust?2k2ss 08-09-2006, 12:22 AM Hi,I'm helping my buddy on his car and their is liquid gas dripping out of a hole in the exhaust and it's blowing some out the tail pipe! engine runs fine! no hydro locking and it has not blown the exhaust apart yet. lol. and no he has not been driving it I know how dangerous this could be! I was at a total loss as to how this could be happening with out hydrolocking or blowing the exhaust apart. then i talked to a mechanic friend of mine and he said he thought maybe the fuel pressure regulator was bad and it was building so much pressure that it was forcing gas out through the egr into the exhaust? other than that idea he had no other explantion for it. what do you think? And I don't have the right fuel pressure gauge to check pressure because it does not have a shrader valve. 2k2ss is offline Reply With Quote capriceowns 08-09-2006, 01:15 AM Hi,I'm helping my buddy on his car and their is liquid gas dripping out of a hole in the exhaust and it's blowing some out the tail pipe! engine runs fine! no hydro locking and it has not blown the exhaust apart yet. lol. and no he has not been driving it I know how dangerous this could be!
