My First car, Dad gave hard choiceDeschain 08-06-2006, 11:30 PM Originally i wanted a Subaru WRX STI, but i realized it might be too much car for me to handle as a first car. So I settled with the WRX. Just today my dad gave me the option of getting his new 2006 BMW 330 XI or the 2006 WRX sedan. Can someone provide some info and input on this? GForce957 08-07-2006, 12:40 AM Can't you get a rwd 330 instead of the awd? Its a more engaging car that way, but if u cant, id say get the rex PlayStation3 08-07-2006, 01:03 AM man i would get the bmw in a heart beat kman10587 08-07-2006, 03:23 PM That's tough. They're both excellent sports sedans. The WRX is a little more my style, but either one is just fine. bluevp00 08-07-2006, 06:24 PM Just today my dad gave me the option of getting his new 2006 BMW 330 XI I've heard that BMW's all wheel drive system (X drive) isn't the best AWD out there, since it handles very poorly. You're better off going with the 330i (rear wheel drive) instead. (and of course buy one with a MANUAL TRANS!!) If you want good performance and lightning fast acelleration, then go with the STi, it won't dissapoint. But if you want something with some 'passion' and class, however at the cost of performance, then go with the BMW. The new WRX is ugly! blakscorpion21 08-07-2006, 08:03 PM i didnt know bill gates had a son. :D i wish my folks would buy me a new car.... i had to pay for my 1st car completeley alone. i didnt get a dollar from my parents much less 30 grand. anyways, id pick neither of them cause a bmw will make you look like an incredibly spoiled snobby kid. and the new wrx is pretty fugly. but if i had to pick id go with the bmw. DinanM3_S2 08-09-2006, 12:47 AM BMW doesn't look at AWD like Subaru and Mitsubishi look at AWD, they look at it like Volvo does, as a added safety feature. Drive the 330i and the 330xi back to back and you will notice the difference, the RWD BMWs are always better then the AWD ones. The 330xi is by no means a bad car, and is probably pretty competitive with the A4 3.2 Quattro and G35x, but the 330i is the master of all sports sedans under $50,000. My ideal E90 330i would be black on black, 6sp manual, no IDrive/Nav, sports package. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
