Ramblin Fever will be happy to know I finally got farther then Genesee :icon16:

And the answer to your question..

65 mph 5th gear = around 2700 rpm
65 mph 4th gear = around 3200-3300 rpm

And I got 19.6 MPG on the round trip :iceslolan The bill for the gas is in the mail

You're running about the same rpm's I am; except in 4th I'm only running 2k rpm's at 65mph.

In 3rd gear, I'm running about 3-3,500rpm's at 65mph.

So, my truck isn't working any harder, realistically, then yours, considering I have the sohc engine with 32" tires and about 500# in armor.

Gizmo - just took a look at your pictures - it's beautiful up there isn't it. Can't believe how good of shape some of those cabins are still in.

Word of the wise - get your mudflaps OFF! Or at least take them off when you're on a trail. I run my rear mud-flaps, but they're a bit further away from the tires then the fronts were.

I'm slowly working on that. I only have 3 of them on there. Tore the left rear one off with my first run on bill moore lake trail. Not enough obsticles on this trail to tear any more off
