Since i bought my truck it has been hard to start. It usaully take 2-3 turn overs to get going(cold engine). I am thinking about a new fuel filter and maybe like some gumout type stuff to clean the injector. Anybody have any experiance with this problem? thanks

Have you replaced the cap, rotor, plugs, and wires yet? I also have an '87 2.8L V6 and had the same exact problem. Replaced those and the battery cables and it fires right up.

$50 into cap, rotor, wires, plugs, and coil and it is not much better. Anymore ideas?

Check the fuel pressure. Mine, at least, was the pump going out.
