Hey first poster here

I have a Factory Five Roadster that I'm going to paint myself. I have a 60gal two stage compressor that is rated for 12.4cfm at 40 psi. I'm
looking at the SATAjet RP 2000 (10cfm at 29psi) Is this to much gun for a newbie to try to shoot his first paint job with? I've heard many times buy the best gun you can afford.

Hi. You did not specify whether you where painting a solid or metallic colour.
For solid colours the Jet RP is perfect, but on metallics it tends to lay down to much paint which causes mottle or clouding in the basecoat. If you want to go with Sata on metallics try the Jet 2000 HVLP. Have fun!
