Check on the left side between cylinder 1 and 3. Normally a green wire on older motors, not too sure on LT1's Blue Bowtie 08-06-2006, 05:09 PM IIRC, the gauge temperature sender on a '95 is incorporated into the same body as the CTS. If the wire isn't grounded, but the sender terminal is, it's time to replace the sensor. wrightz28 08-07-2006, 11:37 AM You're probably right, that' s why I mentioned I wasn't too overly sure about on a LT1. But, same general concept is what I was trying for. Blue Bowtie 08-07-2006, 12:01 PM You're right about the green wire, and all they did was merge the two devices into one unit, like the oil pressure sender/switches. I'm never too sure, either. That's why I mentioned "if I recall correctly"... wrightz28 08-07-2006, 12:34 PM Got ya  Don-D 07-01-2007, 02:32 PM IIRC, the gauge temperature sender on a '95 is incorporated into the same body as the CTS. Old thread, nearly a year old, please read the forum rules regarding age of threads. The CTS stands for Coolant Temperature Sensor - the sending unit and sensor are one unit on the LT1 cars. Located on the driver side cylinder head between cylinders 1 and 3. Don-D 07-02-2007, 11:22 AM well since i posted that i now know that the "CTS" on LT1s is located between the 6 and 8 spark plug. But Thanks. Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com! Registration is absolutely free. |
