Is your car for sale?...

I have a 1986 Caprice Classic Brougham and at least once a week a random stranger come up to me and ask if my car is for sale. I've had this car for a little over 2 months and have had at least 8-9 people ask me that. I always tell them; "No, I like it too much". So I ask does anyone else get this too? No other car I've ever owned have I even had anyone just come up to me and ask to buy my car now it's all the time. It makes me feel like I have a keeper. =D

That happened to me in my '85.

i was on my way home form class at the time, had probably close to 200 lbs worth of tools in the trunk, 4-5 inches of snow on the ground, but with all the weight I blew past a SUV with no problem. They caught up at the next light and were begging to buy my car. :lol2:

I've had several people offer to buy my 9C1 - in the end, it's always a case of I like my car too much and I've put way too much blood, sweat and tears into it to just get rid of it.

Oh so true. But then comes the wife who either thinks it's ugly beat up or too old and it's gotta go :banghead:

Not a week goes by when someone doesn't stop in and inquire about my 1964 Bel Air parked on the side of my driveway. I even get notes taped to my door. Once in awhile I'll get someone asking about my 1994 C1500 pickup parked near it. I have no garage to store them in at the present time, so I'm forced to keep them outside. I'm planning to move them farther back on my property out of sight from the road.

We would routinely get people leaving notes and ringing the doorbell about my wife's 64 Chevelle. One guy offered us all of $1500 for it. When she declines, he said he might go as high as $2500. Next guy she is going to tell that she might consider letting it go in exchange for a new Jag. She's not serious, though. Jag is owned by Ford.

Things have been quieter since we started using a car cover.
